More information

Dear teacher

Students from Wales are welcome to join an international online maths camp to work on maths problems alongside students and academics from Australia, Japan, USA and Germany. The camps will be run online using ZOOM. Students will attend two of three sessions (depending on location). Each session consists of two Maths Worlds. Each session is 3 hours. The activities for students from Wales will take place on Saturday 18th March (15:00-18:00) and Saturday 25th March (9:00-12:00). The pairing of countries in each session is different, so every student will work with students from at least two other countries. It is encouraged to chat and share some things about your life and country. All sessions are conducted in English

Students from Wales will be supervised by academics from Swansea University, only a limited number of places is available across all countries. To apply, please email the address below to receive further information and parental consent forms. Students must be of age 15+ with a keen interest in mathematics. The camp is free. The teachers are welcome to attend alongside their students (up to 5 students).  See some problems from previous camps here http://furthermaths.wales/worlds/

To apply for this exciting event please email e.w.clode@swansea.ac.uk with the names of your interested students by Friday 10th March.
