The FMSPW provides advice, resources and professional learning to teachers to help enrich the mathematical experience of students and promote the continued study of mathematics.

The FMSPW is committed to supporting schools and colleges and has been delivering professional learning since 2014, we have supported hundreds of teachers from schools/colleges across Wales.

Mathematics and Further Mathematics Self-Study Professional Learning resources

FMSPW are currently offering FREE self-study Professional Learning resources for a number of A Level Maths and Further Maths modules

Teachers can choose ONE module of Self-study resources each. Each module comes with extensive valuable resources, including videos and worked-examples, there will be face-to-face zoom sessions with an experienced tutor to support the self study.

Resources for Autumn 2020

In addition to the resources available directly to (learners), teachers will also be able to access a wide variety of materials/resources/videos available through the FMSP Wales dropbox to get access please email: fmspwales@swansea.ac.uk, more resources to support the teaching of A Level Maths and Further Maths are available free on the (Integral) website which can be accessed by (Registering) with FMSP Wales.

Resources will cover all the topics and the full curriculum for AS/A Level Maths and Further Maths as well as enrichment materials aimed at stretching mathematics students in Key stage 4 and 5.

Teachers will receive regular email updates and links from FMSP Wales over the summer term.


Supporting Mathematics Teachers in Wales

Professional Learning courses 2020

The FMSPW has developed an extensive range of resources that we are very happy to share with teachers.

All schools and colleges in Wales are invited to register with the FMSPW to obtain free single user teacher access to the Integral Further Maths resources (Integral). The resources include materials to support the teaching and learning of A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, Additional Mathematics Level 2 certificate and STEP, MAT and AEA examinations.

We are very pleased to offer a range of free training opportunities including one-day workshops, on-line sessions, topic/module specific sessions, in-school options as well as longer courses delivered at a nearby University.

Course Costs

All the professional learning opportunities are free for teachers from state funded schools and colleges. Where teachers attend face-to-face events at a University campus a contribution towards supply cover costs are paid for weekday courses at a fixed rate of £100 per person per day
