More information

The Mathematics Support Programme Wales is pleased to announce our Year 12 Christmas 2024 Conference at the Abacws Building, Cardiff University, for year 12 students from schools in Wales.

The day will consist of revision sessions, fun maths talks, puzzles, a poster competition and much more.

The conference will be a great step to understanding the A level maths content, along with encouraging young people in maths and share how cool it can be.

Posters can be completed on a range of interesting mathematics topics, and will be judged on best math, best visual (Students choice!) and overall winner. The posters will need to be completed and submitted by December 5th 2024, in order for the posters to be printed and displayed at the conference. Prizes will be given at the end of the conference. More information will be sent on registration for the conference.

There will be no cost for the day for state funded schools.

Year 12 students do not need to be accompanied by a teacher, but more information, including parental consent forms and information about the poster competition, will be sent to you when you register for this conference.

This year we have just 150 places which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is advised.

An acknowledgement, and consent forms, will be sent on receipt of the booking form . Deadline: 12th December 2024.
