We would like to invite you to nominate pupils who are more mathematically able, to attend the Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclasses to be held online over Zoom. The series of 4 classes will be on Thursdays from 4:45 pm to 6:30 pm on June 20th, June 27th, July 4th and July 11th.

There will be about 60 places available in total.  All the places will be allocated on the basis of this one invitation and each school is guaranteed TWO places.  Here is a link to the school nomination form for you to list up to five pupils you would like to attend: https://forms.gle/WGPrGsAkBwsKsZyWA The demand for places may be greater than the number available although we will try to offer a place to all pupils who are nominated.  If you nominate more than two pupils please put them in priority order so that places may be offered without contacting you.

We would like to encourage teachers, if possible, to nominate at least as many girls as boys for our Masterclasses, as girls are often underrepresented in mathematics. 

Please distribute this parental consent form: https://forms.gle/dywcbaXXccxZxZt1A to the nominated pupils.  Please emphasise to your pupils that, whilst we aim to establish an enjoyable working atmosphere, the pupils who will derive the greatest benefit are those who are most attentive and hard working.

Please return the nomination form and parental consent forms no later than Monday 3rd June 2024 (contact details are on the nomination form).
