MSPW are pleased to be able to offer courses on the application of DESMOS in KS3, 4 and 5 teaching.
This year we will be offering these courses in an On Demand format. This new On Demand approach is a flexible, online study option, that uses a variety of learning constructs such as tutor-led lecture videos and work pack resources to build up your skills and cement your understanding. There will also be support available to participants via email, and potentially live online sessions.
The DESMOS course is suitable for both complete newcomers to the software, and those who have some experience already and would like to improve their skills, or would like a refresher.
This course will be certificated. In order to receive a Certificate of Achievement, participants will be expected to attend at least one of the sessions and complete, to a satisfactory level, an assessed task involving the design of a simple DESMOS activity and an awareness of how it might be used within the teaching programme.
You will be enrolled to a monitored Microsoft Teams channel where full instructions will guide you through the course at your own pace.
There is opportunity in the Teams channel to collaborate with others doing the course and a forum where you can discuss issues and pedagogy of the topics.
