More information
The Mathematics Support Programme Wales is pleased to announce a one-day conference at the Abacws Building, Cardiff University, for able Mathematics students from schools in Wales. You are invited to bring 15 students from Year 10. The emphasis will be that mathematics can be both fun and challenging.
Key note speakers will be announced soon!
We are holding the conference on two dates – January 13th and January 14th 2025.
There will be 2/3 workshops and a final talk, as well as a ‘Mathematics Quiz’ competition which will be held on the day, with a voucher prize.
We do hope that you will be able to bring a group of around 15 students who are interested in mathematics. The day is intended to appeal to your brightest mathematicians in Year 10.
There will be no cost for the day, for state funded schools, but hurry – this conference is popular and spaces are limited so first come first serve! Deadline to register of 9th January 2025.
Where possible please ensure an equal split between male and female students.
An acknowledgement will be sent on receipt of the information in this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScxJtg1iXDE2IWfqPfWT5xJ_m77RbAvJ6vJ28KaVwRb6xN8gA/viewform?usp=sf_link
